Assessment Buoy Deployment in Lake Michigan

A team of researchers from Grand Valley State University (including Erik Nordman), University of Michigan, and Michigan Natural Features Inventory will deploy a first-of-its-kind wind assessment buoy in Lake Michigan. The buoy will include a LiDAR wind sensor as well as sensors to detect birds and bats and measure waves and currents.
